Children's Liturgy at the Sunday 9:30 a.m. Mass

Every Sunday, at the 9:30 a.m. Mass, we celebrate the Children’s Liturgy.  We invite all children between the ages of 4 and 11 to listen to the Gospel in a way that they can understand.  We follow the Gospel reading from that day’s Mass and discuss what the Word means to them and in their lives.

During the 9:30 a.m. Mass, the children will be called to the front of the Church where they will proceed to the Continuing Faith Formation (CFF) building - also known as the Religious Education building - to participate in the Children’s Liturgy.  Those students that have received First Holy Communion will return to the Church during the Offertory and rejoin their families.  The rest of the children will stay in the CFF building and continue their instruction and activities until Mass ends.  Families should pick up those children after Mass in Rooms 6 and 7 of the CFF building.

If your children will be joining us for the Children’s Liturgy you must have your dismissal card each week when you pick them up.  We have cards available at the CFF office or for download.

The Children’s Liturgy is a program of the CFF ministry and it follows the CFF calendar.  If there are no Religious Education classes on Sunday, then there will be no Children’s Liturgy.  For questions, comments or to volunteer, please contact Paul Otero, Director of Religious Education, at 305-233-8711 or  faithformation@holyrosarystrichard.org.
